In 1996 I co – edited the first ever International Dictionary of Event Management (John Wiley & Sons, Inc) with Carol McKibben. In 2001 I updated this book with a second edition in multiple languages that was co – edited by the late and great Dr Kathleen S. Nelson. In 2002, the beloved late educator Patti Shock edited the Event Industry Council Glossary of Terms. Now, Dr Donald Getz, one of the world’s greatest thought leaders in the field of planned events has edited this new book and I was fortunate, along with other academic leaders, to serve as a co – editor.
